Data Collection
As Korea's only FOSS mirror project, ROKFOSS collects download statistics to improve the domestic mirror environment. This data is used exclusively by the ROKFOSS Project and is deleted within a few days.
Security & Safety
The ROKFOSS Project mirror does not serve files to automated bots. Activities that place excessive load on the server, such as crawling or mass downloading, are prohibited. IPs engaging in activities that intentionally overload the system and potentially harm other users will be blocked, and such records may be made public.
Rsync Usage Notice
If you wish to use the RSYNC service on the ROKFOSS mirror, you must contact us via official email to obtain permission. Inquiries can be made at krfoss@krfoss.org or through the official community.
Notice for Educational Institutions
Educational institutions often have dozens or hundreds of users sharing a single IP address. In such cases, please register your institution to prevent the automated security system from flagging your traffic as an attack. Institution registration is available here.
Are you accessing from an educational institution (university, school, etc.) or research organization?
Regardless of whether you have an ASN, simply registering will notify all participating mirrors in the project and ease download restrictions. If you're an educational institution, please register!
Additionally, consider using a nearby mirror close to your institution. Check out the distributed mirrors at the bottom of the site! Regional mirrors can significantly distribute the load and improve download speeds.
Your sponsorship, big or small, makes a great difference in improving Korea's open-source mirror environment.
Help us achieve our goals by supporting the non-profit ROKFOSS PROJECT.
